From Downtown Chicago
I-90/I-94 west approximately 7 miles; I-90 and I-94 split at this point–Continue on I-94 west, (Edens Expressway) approximately 8 miles–Exit Lake Ave West–Drive west 3 miles–Turn right, (north) on Patriot Boulevard–Drive north 1 mile, (past stop sign at Chestnut), to West Lake Ave–Turn left, (west)–Entrance to The Glen Club approximately 200 yards on left.

From Chicago
Take Lake Shore Drive north. At its end (Hollywood Avenue and Sheridan Road intersection), turn right on to Sheridan Road. Take Sheridan north for five miles, following the green-and-white “Sheridan Road, Lake Michigan Circle Tour” signs when Sheridan bends (don’t worry if the street signs do not say Sheridan for a few blocks). When reversing the directions to go to Chicago, note that left turns are not permitted at these intersections at rush hours:

1. Sheridan Road where it bends east at the southern part of the campus. Continue south (you’ll be on Chicago Avenue) to Main Street, where you can turn left and drive to Sheridan Road.

2. Sheridan Road where it bends left at Devon Avenue in Chicago. Continue south (you’ll be on Broadway Avenue) to Hollywood Avenue, where you can turn left and drive to Lake Shore Drive.

From the north on I-94 (Edens Expressway)
Exit at U.S. 41 (south) and continue south to Lake Avenue (second stoplight). Turn left (east) on to Lake Avenue and travel about three miles to Sheridan Road. Turn right (south) on to Sheridan Road and follow the green-and-white “Sheridan Road” signs when Sheridan bends.

From the south on I-94 (Edens Expressway)
Exit at Dempster east. Travel about five miles on Dempster Street to Chicago Avenue. Turn left (north) on to Chicago Avenue, which merges into Sheridan Road about three-quarters of a mile north.

From the north on I-294 (Tri-Sate Tollway)
At Deerfield, I-294 splits. Follow I-94 (Edens Expressway) “To Chicago” signs. Exit at U.S. 41 south. Follow “From the north on I-94” directions, above.

From the south on I-294 (Tri-Sate Tollway)
Exit at Dempster east. Follow “From O’Hare International Airport” directions, above.

Parking at the Gleacher Center

There are several options available for parking at the Gleacher Center. 

Trienens Hall at Northwestern University

Trienens Hall is located just north of Ryan Field and adjacent to the Coon Strength and Conditioning Center and the NU football offices. Parking is available in both the East and West lots adjacent to Ryan Field.

Directions to Ryan Field Campus:
From Chicago:
Take either Lake Shore Drive or I-90/94 (Kennedy). If you go the Lake Shore Drive route, follow LSD until it ends and merges with Sheridan Road. Take Sheridan north through Evanston (follow the signs as Sheridan winds through south Evanston). Turn left on Central Street, just north of the main campus. Go west approximately one mile to Ryan Field. Turn right on Ashland (just west of the stadium) and then turn into “Walker Way”, just North of the stadium to drop the kids off.

From the North: Take I-94 (Edens) East. Exit on Skokie Blvd. Turn left at stop light at Lake Avenue. Go east on Lake to Green Bay Road. Turn right and proceed south to Central Street. Turn left and go east approximately one-half mile to Ryan Field.If you take the expressway, stay on the Kennedy until I-90 and 94 split. Take I-94 West (Edens) toward Milwaukee. Exit on Old Orchard Road and proceed east. Turn left on Gross Point Road and then turn right at the next light, which is Central Street. Proceed approximately two miles to Ryan Field. Turn left on Ashland (just west of the stadium) and then turn into “Walker Way”, just north of the stadium to drop the kids off.

  • There is a lot just across Sheridan and off of Lincoln Ave.
  • There is also street parking one block north of the Gleacher Center on Milburn.
