WGA to Host Weeklong Golf Camps at The Glen Club this Summer

The Wildcat Golf Academy will hold a series of week long camps for junior golfers who are looking to improve their game over the summer. Range Instruction will take place at the Luke Donald Practice Facility at The Glen Club, while on course instruction will occur at the Glenview Prairie Club – Golf & Paddle, which is across the street from The Glen Club.

Wildcat Golf Academy instructor and Northwestern Volunteer Assistant Coach Tim Streng will direct these camps. Golfers who register for camp must have a basic knowledge of golf. These camps are not for beginner golfers. There is a maximum of 12 golfers per camp.

Cost for one week of camp is $800.  There is a 10% discount if you sign up for multiple weeks of camp or are registering a sibling. Please contact Lisa Jones lisa@wildcatgolfacademy.com for questions.

Week #1 – Mon.-Fri., June 12-16, 2017Golfers in 6th-8th Grade

Week #2 -Mon.-Fri., June 19-23, 2017:  Golfers in 3rd-5th Grade

Week #3  – Mon.-Fri., June 26-30, 2017: Golfers in 6th-8th Grade

Week #4 – Mon.-Fri., July 10-14, 2017: Golfers in 3rd-5th

Week #5 – Mon.-Fri., July 17-21, 2017: Golfers in 6th-8th Grade

 DAILY SCHEDULE

  • 9 am-11 am: Range Instruction at the Luke Donald Practice Facility
  • 11 am–11:45 am: Lunch – Each golfer should bring their own lunch
  • 11:45 am-1215 pm: Proper warm up before each round
  • 12:30 pm-2:30 pm: On course instruction Glenview Prairie Club – Golf & Paddle
  • 2:30 pm-3 pm: Coaches post round wrap up with group

Range instruction will consist of:

  • Before and after video analysis of player’s swing Short game evaluation/test
  • Station rotation covering all aspects of the game  End of week short game evaluation/test

On Course Instruction:

  • Course management Club selection
  • Understanding proper pace of play Each day the players will compete in a fun team event
