WILDCAT GOLF ACADEMY DIVISIONS

ClVOl81UsAA_0mJThe Wildcat Golf Junior Academy is divided into four separate divisions.

Wildcat Juniors

Perfect for golfers who have 2 to 3 years of golfing experience, Ages 8-10 (2nd-4th grade) 

The Wildcat Juniors is a specialized teaching program for aspiring young golfers, ages 8 and up, who are interested in learning how to develop their golf game. The program will focus on skill development, while allowing young golfers to explore the opportunities in competitive golf. Our staff will develop structured practice sessions that provide coaching and guidance on core fundamentals, swing technique, short-game proficiency, fitness, and mental training skills.

The program will be led by Tim Streng, who was an All-American at Western Illinois, as well as an assistant golf professional at Kemper Lakes Golf Club.

Wildcat Academy

Perfect for golfers who have 2 to 3 years of golfing experience and are in 5th-6th grade

The Wildcat Academy is a specialized coaching program for aspiring golfers who want to play competitively on the AJGA and/or IJGA circuits, in high school and beyond. A high level of commitment is expected for those enrolled in the Academy group.

The Academy curriculum is designed with a focus on coaching, practice, and training, which includes fundamental development in all areas of the game: full swing, short game proficiency, putting, bunker play, course management and mental techniques. It is our goal to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each golfer. The instructors will teach them how to best utilize their strengths, while giving them tools to help improve their troubled areas.

The program will be overseen by Sam McKenney and Tim Streng and will include instruction from top teaching professionals in the Chicagoland area.

 

Wildcat Elite

For Golfers is 7th & 8th Grade

The Wildcat Elite is an intense, specialized training program for a select group of players who show the potential to compete at the highest level of golf. Golf must be one of the participant’s primary athletic focuses.

The Elite program is designed similar to the Academy curriculum. It will focus on coaching, practice, and training, which includes fundamental development in all areas of the game: full swing, short game proficiency, putting, bunker play, course management and mental techniques. It is our goal to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each golfer. The instructors will teach them how to best utilize their strengths, while giving them tools to help improve their troubled areas.

WGJA instructors will also help each golfer form important competitive golf preparation habits, execution strategies and rules and game management tactics. Additionally, each golfer in the Elite program will receive two private lessons when they register for a session.

Wildcat Super Elite

The Wildcat Super Elite program is an intense, specialized program for golfers who want to play varsity high school golf and compete in local tournaments during the Spring and Summer. There are 2 and 3 day options for this group and each golfer will receive two private lessons when they register for a session.

WGJA instructors will help each golfer form important competitive golf preparation habits, execution strategies and rules and game management tactics. Tournament preparation will also be included in this program.
