Isabelle Kane, a senior at Loyola Academy, earned medalist honors at the Golf Sectional at Buffalo Grove on Monday. Kane’s 72 led the Ramblers to a second place finish in the Sectional championship. Other WGA members on the Loyola team include Taylor Gentzkow (83), Katie Boesen (85), Blake Yaccino (86) and Nicole Wetoska (86).

New Trier advanced to the state finals with a third place finish at the Buffalo Grove Sectional. WGA members Julia Schuham (84), Louise McCulloch (86), and Lauren Sigurdson (93) were members of the state advancing team.

Freshman Katie Lillie and the St. Charles (North) team join Loyola and New Trier in the state championship this weekend. Lillie, who shot an 80, was one of two freshman on the St. Charles squad that advanced.

Highland Park senior Liza Kraff  also advanced as an individual with a score of 79.

The 2A state championship will take place on Friday-Saturday, October 18-19, at the Hickory Point Golf Club in Decatur, IL.
