Wildcat Golf Academy Super Elite members proved that working hard over the winter translates to success on the links early in the golf season!
Katie Lillie shot a pair of 75’s for a share of second place at the Golfweek Junior Tour event at Fox Fire Players Course in Columbus, OH.
Murlick carded a 1-over-par 73 during the final round to capture the MAJGT Deerfield Open title by one stroke. He carded five birdies during the 36 holes, along with a stretch of seven pars from holes 7 to 13.
Bennett Cotten and Chip Savarie both finished in the top ten of the MAJGT Deerfield Open. Cotten finished tied for 7th with a two-day total of 151 (79, 72), while Savarie was 9th with a final score of 152 (78, 74).
Connor Prassas and Andrew Huber also finished in the top 20 in the MAJGT Deerfield Open, both tying for 20th with a two-day total 155.
On the girls’ side of the MAJGT Deerfield Open, Louise McCulloch tied for third with a two-day total of 151. She shot a tournament best two-under par 70 on Sunday!
All six of the above golfers are members of the Wildcat Golf Academy Super Elite program. From November to March, the Super Elite golfers trained four days a week through a specialized training program with the WGA. In addition to group workouts and private lessons, the Super Elite members were part of a vigorous strength and conditioning schedule and received performance/mental coaching from our performance coach Matt Jones.
