Chip Savarie and John Kryscio have earned the 2013 Illinois Junior Golf Association’s Player of the Year honors in their respective divisions. Savarie, an 8th grader from Winnetka, IL, was the IJGA Boys Junior champion, while Kryscio, an 8th grader from Glenveiw, IL, won the YDP Boys 12-13 POY.

Savarie had 14 top three finishes in IJGA tournaments, four tournament victories and 11 top two finishes. He was only one of three 2018 graduates to qualify for the 2013 Illinois State Junior Amateur Championship.

Kryscio earned medalist honors in three IJGA tournament this yea. He also had six, second place finishes and 17 top 10 finishes in 2013. He was one of only two 8th graders, along with WGA member Bennett Cotten, to qualify for the 2013 Chick Evans Golf Championship.
