North Shore Country Day won the Boys 1A Golf Sectional at Byron. WGA members, sophomore Drew Miles (79) and junior Daniel Viellieu (88), are members of this team that will play for the state title at Prairie Vista Golf Course in Bloomington, IL, on October 17-18.

In 3A action, New Trier and Evanston Township advanced to the state finals with their 2nd and 3rd place finishes at the Marist Sectional. WGA member Nick Iserloth shot a 75 as a member of the New Trier team, while Evan Ter Molen and Bill Nondorf posted scores of 82 to lead Evanston.

Loyola senior Chris Nolan and sophomore Michael Banas advanced to the state finals as individuals each with a score of 75. Nolan has been with the Wildcat Golf Academy since its infancy in 2011.

The 3A state finals take place at The Den at Fox Creek Golf Course, Bloomington, IL, on Friday-Saturday, October 17-18.
